8/6/18 Head's weekly message and letters
8th June 2018 | Head's Weekly Message |

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back
Welcome back after half term. I hope everyone had a pleasant break. The exam season is well underway, and I am glad to say the majority of students are emerging from the Sports Hall reasonably content. I hope this continues and results in the grades they deserve.

Amazing success in swimming
Congratulations and good luck to Lewis Shayler. He has been invited to attend an International meet in Cardiff this weekend. If he swims well this could give him the opportunity to represent England in the ‘Summer 2018’ Great Britain Nationals. This is a competition between the top 15 swimmers.

Key Stage 3 Writing competition – 65 successful authors!
The English Faculty entered the ‘Stranger Saga’ Competition run by Young Writers this year. There were 11,000 entries to this competition of which 70 entries came from Rickmansworth School. 65 of the entries are now being published – a 93% success rate! Well done to Mrs Rogers, from the English Department, who organised our entry into the competition and of course our successful Key Stage 3 students!

‘Wall of Bricks’
If you would like to donate a brick to the ‘Wall of Bricks’ planned for our new Theatre, please make sure to read my letter issued before half term.
Your support is incredibly valuable to us. Donations are eligible for Gift Aid, so every penny will go to fund the equipping of the Theatre. The letter and Gift Aid form are available in our Parent Letters website page.

Online Reply Slips for Parent Letters
Please note that we are changing provider of online reply services and parents will not be able to respond online to any outstanding slips. See the letter issued for more information.
