Dear Parents and Carers

I would like to thank Mr Tompkins, the Performing Arts Department and all staff and students involved with this weeks’ Song and Dance – if you came I’m sure you would agree they put on an amazing and unforgettable performance!

Tomorrow is Sports Day. Do remind your children to bring water and apply suncream. Any students with medical needs such as asthma must ensure to bring their medicine with them. Ice lollies will be on sale from £1 if students wish to bring some money!

We wish the best of luck to our students and staff departing on the Outlook Expedition to Madagascar tomorrow. 

Starter for 10 - Wednesday 11 July
All Year 9 will be off timetable on Wednesday next week, experiencing a taster of lessons in Year 10. 

Summer Concert – Wednesday 11 July 
Tickets are on sale now for our Summer Concert. Wednesday 11th July 7pm. Tickets are £5 Adults, £3 Concession, £2 Student, and are available here.  

School Immersion Programme Visit
Next week we will be welcoming staff from the Department of Education as part of a School Immersion Programme, where staff from the DofE visit our site to learn first-hand how a Secondary School operates. 

Transition
Secondary Transfer Day for Year 6 into 7 takes place on Thursday 12 July, followed by a [www.trybooking.co.uk/FDE]Parent Information Evening for their parents and carers at 7pm. Our Year 7 Welcome Morning and Treasure Hunt takes place on Saturday 14 July 11-1pm. If you haven’t confirmed your attendance yet, please click on the links. 

Year 11 Parent Information Evening – 11 September 2018
Parents and carers of Year 11 students in 2018/19 are invited to a Parent Information Evening on Tuesday 11 September at 7pm. This is an important evening and it is essential that all parents/carers of Year 11 students attend. If you have not already, please confirm your attendance here.

Finally, may I remind you that next week is the final week of term for students and School closes at 1.15pm on Friday 13 July.
