13/07/18 Head's Message & Letters
16th July 2018 | Head's Weekly Message |

Dear Parents and Carers

We hoped you enjoyed our Summer Concert this week – we were pleased so many of you were able to make it despite the start time being brought forward on what was a significant evening for sport - although I don’t know why we bothered!

Visitors to our new Reception have commented on how lovely and professional it looks. The new classroom block is on track to be completed on time for September and this will be of the same quality. Please remember our campaign to Buy a Brick to help fund the equipping of the new Theatre - thank you to those of you who have already supported us!

Today saw next year’s Year 7’s experiencing a taster of what life in Secondary school is like, with taster lessons in PE, Science, MFL and Music amongst others – we hope they enjoyed it. They have been fantastic to have and we are looking forward to seeing them in September. A reminder that there is a Parent Information Evening tonight for next year’s Year 7 parents and carers, in the Hall from 7.00pm, and that our Year 7 Welcome Morning and Treasure Hunt takes place this Saturday 14 July 11-1pm. If you haven’t confirmed your attendance yet, please click here: [www.trybooking.co.uk/EFN]www.trybooking.co.uk/EFN

Good luck to our current Year 7 who depart on their ROCK UK trip this Sunday – have fun!

I have heard comments that the School force students to wear blazers, even when it is warm. This is not the case. May I clarify that students must wear their blazers to School, but in hot weather they do not have to wear them once on site.
