Head's weekly message and letters
24th May 2019 | Head's Weekly Message |

Dear Parents and Carers

Today was another mufti day for the students, with money raised to go towards the Ricky Playhouse and New Library developments. These will be fantastic additions to the learning opportunities for our students and the sooner we can raise the necessary funds to initiate these projects, the sooner our students and the community will benefit. Thank you for your support.

Year 10 students have been on work experience this week getting a taste for life after school! The feedback from employers has been excellent with lots of references to the personal qualities our students show daily at school. I hope the students have enjoyed their placements.

Congratulations to Year 11 and Year 13 students on the hard work and effort they have undertaken in preparation for their GCSE and A level exams this week. Year 11 are almost half-way through their series now. We wish them all the best of luck with the remaining exams. We also wish Key Stage 3 students the best of luck as they prepare for their core exams in the first week after half-term.

Please remember we are piloting a revision to our mobile phone policy commencing Monday 3 June – please see details in the letter from Mr Carrera last week who leads on BYOD in the School. Students will be informed of the specifics in assemblies next week.

I wish you and your family an enjoyable Whitsun half-term break, and to those students revising over half-term, your hard work and effort will be rewarded with the results you achieve.
