Head's weekly message and letters
13th September 2019 | Head's Weekly Message |

Dear Parents and Carers

New and established students have settled well into the new term and it is a pleasure to walk around the School and see everyone working hard.

It has been a busy but exciting week for me; I have met with parents and carers of Years 8, 10 and 11 at parent information evenings and I look forward to meeting others at forthcoming events.

Next week also promises to be very busy with Year 9 parents and carers information evening on Tuesday 17 September and Year 7 parents evening to meet the Form Tutors on Thursday 19 September.  Both meetings start at 7.00pm until 8.00pm.

Year 7 will be attending House Sports morning on Saturday 21 September.  More information will be forthcoming next week.

Information for Fathers

Families Feeling Safe are running two free sessions at St Joan of Arc on Protective Behaviours for Dads of children 0-19 years.

There is also a programme running for 9 weeks to support your child’s emotional wellbeing, linking feelings, thoughts and behaviour and having strategies for feeling safe.

Details of both these sessions can be found within ‘my letters’.

I would like to thank you once again for the lovely welcome I have received so far and all the positive comments.

Matt Fletcher, Headteacher
