Year 8 Sports Leaders Report

Year 8 Sports Leaders helped host the Year 4 Indoor Atheltics Competition on Thursday 6 February. Over 200 pupils from Rickmansworth Park, Yorke Mead, Little Green, Harvey Road and the Royal Masonic took part in the action packed afternoon. The 28 girls acting as Sports Leaders had to lead a variety of track and field events including speed bounce, target throw, chess push and the standing long jump. We led the javelin event with each student trying their hardest with their 3 attempts. We had a great time and we are sure all the participants did to! At the end of the competition we presented medals to the winning girls’ and boys’ teams.

Year 7 Basketball House Competition Report

This half term there has been 60 very excited Year 7 girls and boys competing in the Basketball House competition every Thursday lunch time. We have competed in our forms and have all selected a captain and vice-captain that organises our team. The competition is organised and officiated by the Year 10 Leadership Academy. It takes place in the big Sports Hall with the 7 forms playing a very tense game of Basketball with everyone battling to win. It’s lots of fun and we hope that more Year 7s will take part next half term.
