Head's message 9th May 2014
9th May 2014 | Head's Weekly Message |

On Wednesday I was delighted to be asked, along with the Chair of Governors John De Braux, to sit on the judging panel of Year 9s Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI).  Each form was provided with an opportunity to champion a local charity which they believe in their opinion deserves £3000 funding.  Each presented in the hall in front of their peers and the panel.  Many local charities were championed and it was very difficult to make a decision.  The outcome was that DRUM - Disability Recreation Unity Movement – were awarded the £3000.  This charity was presented by a member of 90 – well done to them.

Rickmansworth School is the only school in the local area to work with YPI and I am extremely proud of the work our students have undertaken and facilitating the YPI programme and the award to a local charity.
