Award Winners 2016

On Tuesday we held our School Sports Partnership Awards for the local area.  Beth Tweddle Olympian gymnast presented these.  She spoke of her Olympic experience and ice skating.  The awards evening is always a highlight of the year and I think the community realises that our partnership is the strongest in the East of England region.  In recognition of this the SSP Team received a Pearson’s Teaching Award this year for being an excellent team and making a positive impact on the education of young people.

At Rickmansworth we had two further Pearson Award winners.  Mrs Curtis, Head of Drama, was presented with the Award for excellent teacher and Mr Crane, Director of Learning for Year 7, won the Award for best new comer in education.  Congratulations to the SSP Team, Mr Berry, Mr Ling and Mr Hambleton; Mrs Curtis – excellent teacher and Mr Crane – best new comer.  At Rickmansworth we are proud to have such excellent staff.

May I remind you to look in the diary for next week’s parent information evenings?

Current Year 9 on Monday 27th June at 7pm in the Main Hall and current Years 7 and 8 are on Wednesday 29th at 7pm
