Admissions Process

Rickmansworth Sixth Form is a welcoming environment and our new students quickly settle in, reaching their potential and becoming actively involved in our community. 

All students should carefully read the entry requirements to the sixth form and for each individual subject they wish to study at A Level. This information can be found in the Policy for Sixth Form Admissions and the Sixth Form Prospectus.

Internal Admissions

Applications for September 2026 are now closed.

External Admissions

Applications for September 2026 are now closed.

External student meetings as part of the ongoing admissions process may be held during March/April. (Only selected students will be invited to the School to discuss their applications further).

Conditional offers of places - confirmation sent by the end of the Spring term.

A small number of places sometimes become available on results day. If you are still looking for a place and have met the published entry criteria, please email sixthform@rickmansworth.herts.sch.uk with a copy of your results and will let you know if we can offer you a place.

Alternatively, enquiries can be made at the Sixth Form Centre from 11:00 on Thursday 20 and from 9:00 on Friday 21 August.

Application Deadline

The deadline for applications was Monday 26 January 2026 for both internal and external students.
